Meet the Team

Yossi Beinart

Chief Executive Officer and President

Yossi has over 20 years of executive management and development experience at financial and technology firms. Prior to Nadex (then HedgeStreet), he was Director of Technology at IG Group and Chief Technology Officer at Portero Inc., responsible for creating the auction system for Portero's luxury goods marketplace.

From 2000 to 2004, he was CEO and President of ShieldIP, a venture backed firm which developed a patented Digital Rights Protection solution for software and music. Prior to ShieldIP, he served as Managing Director and CIO of Investment Technology Group (NYSE: ITG), a leading provider of equity-trading services and transaction research to institutional investors and brokers.

Yossi holds a BSc in Computer Science from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel.

Timothy McDermott

General Counsel and Chief Regulatory Officer

Timothy joined Nadex with over 17 years of litigation and compliance experience in the financial markets, most recently as Director and Compliance Counsel with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). Prior to the CME, Timothy was with Gardner, Carton & Douglas, where he was a partner for seven years and focused on financial markets litigation.

Timothy earned his JD from Loyola University School of Law after graduating from the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in Accounting.

Jacob Mulaikal

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Nadex, Jacob was the Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer of National Stock Exchange (NSX). He was responsible for Finance, Accounting, Human Resources and IT functions, and helped engineer the recapitalization of the Exchange, improved business processes and significantly enhanced the infrastructure of the organization. Before NSX, Jacob was employed at Heller Financial Inc. where he served as the Group Finance Officer, responsible for the financial planning and oversight of the international subsidiaries of the company. He provided financial and tax support in international mergers, acquisitions and dispositions.

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science from Loyola College in India and an MBA (Finance) from DePaul
University, Chicago. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in India and is a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants in the United States.

John Collins

Director

John is an experienced trial and appellate attorney, practicing at Collins & Collins in Chicago, Illinois. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1992 through 1997, he prosecuted bank fraud, securities fraud, and other white collar crimes. In addition, John has served as general counsel for the United States Soccer Federation, Inc. and currently serves as a member of both the FIFA Legal Committee and the Board of Advisors of the National Sports Law Institute.

John studied Accountancy at the University of Illinois and earned his JD from University of Chicago Law School.

Robert Kolb

Director

Robert is a Professor of Finance and the Frank W. Considine Chair of Applied Ethics in the Business School at Loyola University Chicago. His career spans almost three decades as a finance professor, and he has published more than 50 academic research articles and more than 20 books.

Robert’s books include the recent publication of the sixth edition of Understanding Futures Markets and the fifth edition of Futures, Options, and Swaps (both with James A. Overdahl).

Peter Hetherington

Director

Peter has been Chief Operating Officer and a Director of IG Group Holdings, plc in London since 2002. His role is focused on driving forward a number of significant strategic projects such as the highly successful launch of IG Group’s online financial dealing system.

Peter studied Economics at Nottingham University and has a Masters in Finance from the London Business School.

John Austin

Director

John is Head of Research at IG Group, plc in London. He has over 15 years of experience in retail derivatives and developed the world’s first retail focused binary contracts in 2002, while working as IG Group’s New Products Director.

John studied Chemistry and Computer Science at Cambridge University and has a Masters in Finance from London Business School.
