Life is busy. Work. Family. Hobbies. Kids. School. Social time. It all takes time. It may seem that you can’t find the time to trade, even when that’s what you want to do.  Trade binary options on your time.

Open around the clock, Nadex offers many opportunities for trading. There are bound to be some that will fit your schedule. Whether you can trade early in the morning, at lunchtime, after work or late at night, markets are open somewhere in the world.

The first thing to do is determine when you can trade, and then learn what markets are open and moving during that time. Most markets are open around the clock. However, most movement usually occurs during regional business hours. During the hours when you are trading, you want to focus on the markets that are moving with volume.

You may have heard that it’s best to trade various markets such as one commodity, one index and one Forex pair, but you aren’t seeing any profits. It is probably because you chose markets that are either closed or not active during your trading time.

For example, suppose you can only trade at 8:00 PM ET, and you chose EUR/USD, Gold and NASDAQ. Even though these markets are open, you will not see much movement unless there’s news. Let’s look at why that is the case. EUR/USD is based on the euro and the dollar. The European market opens at 3:00 AM ET and the US market opens 9:30 AM ET. There isn’t much volume or action happening at 8:00 PM ET, since Europe is usually sleeping at that time and the US market is closed. Gold is traded around the world and around the clock, but the major markets are not moving much at 8:00 at night. NASDAQ will see much more movement after opening at 9:30 AM, when the big high volume traders are actively trading.

If you are a part-time trader, you want to figure out how to make the most of your time. You want to watch the best instruments or markets possible, with the most movement during your trading time. US indices and commodities usually do not move much at night. European markets do not move much in the early evening.

What markets are open?

In the evening around 7:00 or 8:00 PM ET, Japan (Nikkei) and China are just opening up. Asian indices will be open and moving more. Australia is opening at about that time, too. Four Forex binary pairs offered by Nadex see the most movement in the evening. They are AUD/JPY, AUD/USD, EUR/JPY, and GBP/JPY.  Watch the pairs with markets that are open. They are likely to move the most.

Perhaps your time to trade is early in the morning. Some traders get up early and trade the London open, which is 3:00 AM ET. Markets likely to see movement at this time are the FTSE 100, DAX, and the following Forex pairs: EUR/JPY, EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/CHF. At this time, focus on the European markets that are open.

If you are trading when the US market opens at 9:30 AM ET, the European markets are still open. Add to that all the US Indices, the Forex pairs involving the USD and CAD as well as all the commodities. Often, open markets overlapping during the day shows the most movement. For example, Europe before closing and US is just opening. In addition, with Asia before closing and Europe is just opening.

If you can trade at lunchtime, there are about 80 different options to choose from since there are many markets open.

With expiration times of five-minute, 20-minute, intraday, daily and weekly for binary options, there are many different options to fit whatever strategy or system you are doing. As a part-time trader, make the most of your time by trading the right things at the right time.
