Rober Stevens (Associated Press) wrote an article last week concerning the growing "Crypto-Jacking" attacks. Depending on the attack, people who fell victim to crypto-jackers could be noticing a slight drop in processing power (just enough for you to think there is nothing suspicious going on).
However, other organizations saw monthly electricity bills skyrocket by hundreds of thousands of dollars. The number of crypto-jacking cases soared from 146,000 to 22.4M in December. By May, we are looking at 93M.
