Nadex/OG.com submits new Chapter 16 Rulebook to CFTC for Approval of Perpetual Security Futures
OG.com Markets has submitted a request to the CFTC for approval of new Exchange Rulebook Chapter 16, which would establish the framework for listing, trading, clearing, and settlement of perpetual security futures. These products are cash-settled futures based on individual U.S. equity securities that do not expire, providing market participants with continuous exposure to underlying stocks.
The proposed rules establish comprehensive requirements covering contract specifications, listing standards, margin requirements, position limits, trading halts, market surveillance, clearing, settlement, and customer protections. Perpetual Security Futures would trade nearly continuously, be centrally cleared through the Exchange's clearinghouse, settle based on the official opening price of the underlying security, and be subject to extensive safeguards designed to promote market integrity, prevent manipulation, and protect market participants. OG.com believes the new rules comply with applicable CFTC and SEC requirements and will provide market participants with a capital-efficient, transparent, and regulated means of obtaining exposure to individual equities.
